by Fiona Snow (IADT)

As part of ‘Immersive Pedagogies’ Lecturer Fiona Snow gave this presentation about Art & Design Pedagogy for Accelerate in November 2022.

The event focused on how to develop effective immersive learning, and leveraged IADT’s distinctive pedagogical strengths and experience. It was led by faculty drawn from IADT who have particular specialisms in teaching using immersive technologies.

The following questions were considered:

  • What is ‘immersive teaching’
  • How does immersive teaching differ from other forms of teaching (whether in person or ‘traditional’ online)
  • How might immersive teaching be incorporated into a blended or wholly online course?
  • How can immersive teaching foster inclusivity?
  • What are the accessibility challenges?

Biography:

Fiona Snow is a member of the 3D Design lecturing team since 2009 teaching primarily 1st year and 4th year students, both physical and digital subjects.
